Claus Hencken is a graduated designer having worked for various important companies. He joined Luigi Colani in some projects and joined umbrella manufacturer Knirps.

In 2004 he established Hencken Design Group and initiated the online design shop DESIGNHOMING and developed a second online shop called GESCHENKESHOP which is geared to presents.

In march he began developing the reversible lock. He began to search for partners to manufacture his idea and decided on lock manufacturer WSS from the German town of Heiligenhaus and door manufacturer KTM from Bocholt, Germany. Careful calculation of cost estimates a 20 to 30% higher price than a standard door, but the innovative combination of design and functionality has arrived. And the concept is a lot of fun. Thanks to Claus everyone will love opening and closing doors. The two manufacturers enabled the designer the realization of one of his dreams. Claus Hencken delivered a perfect and amazing solution.
